fun when it started speeding up! Bit frustrating because I didn't know if I was aligned with the food or not ,and food kept appearing in front of me, good theme match!

Your right the food and salt images were not scaled correctly, and sadly we couldn't make the food not spawn in front of the worm in time, Thank you.

An interesting variant on Snake.

It was quite hard to tell whether or not I was aligned with something, so I often ended up clipping through the edge of a salt pile. Maybe make all the sprites a consistent size?

I don't know what's going on with that music, but I like it :D

Thanks for playing.

try to avoid having collectibles which are being displayed larger than their hitbox. Makes it harder to aim for them than necessary (talking about the salt in this case). Also, avoid having fruit spawn on top of salt, as it makes eating the salt ineffective.

For the rest it is a good, creative gamejam game.

We will fix it in future, thank you.

Fun game, fit the topic perfectly! Also like the switch from the classic to remix Für Elise.
Maybe I would either make the salt a bit smaller or the hitbox a big larger. Now I can go over a part of the salt (when it's in "big" state of animation) and not eat it. Otherwise - very well done!

Thanks for playing our game, yes we will put your ideas into consideration in developing the game later.

Pretty cool! The winning music was a little too loud. And new levels didn't really bring anything new to the table. But it was fun! Like a reverse snake game lol.

Thanks ❤.

The munching sound was really good lol. It was cool to see so much fruit but it had me wishing I had a boost option to eat more of it. I also kept missing the pieces of food, maybe make it more clear what tile you are on to better align.

Yes, but unfortunately the main goal was to eat the salt chunks, so we also missed eating the fruit, haha.
But did you face your fears or run away?

uh..idk so maybe not lol I played not eating the salt, then played eating the salt.

A fun game!

I like the use of the classical music and the switch to "electro-classical" music (if that even is the name). Although the use of Astronomia as the victory song was a bit immersion-breaking.

The game was fun, although it become a litte hard when you get to expert mode.

Either way, good work!

Thank you
Yes, the music had a great immersion role in the game, I think the level of the developer needs a little bit of focus, but be careful not to eat yourself.

Haha I love the switch in tone of the music. This game is super fun! And I love the simplicity of the idea of backwards snake. I found it super engaging on the third stage, having all these obstacles appearing while you're flying through. This was honestly one of my favorite games of the Jam in terms of fun!

My only bit of constructive criticism is that it starts far too slow. I like that you're introducing the concept, but the intro level takes a looong time even though you start off with only 3 length. I would suggest it more as a tutorial level with a separate option even or try to shorten it even further. I almost stopped playing the game before that first level completed and missed out on the real fun of the game!

Also maybe have the switch in tone be related to how fast you're moving. It doesn't fit super well on the first level for example, but it's a banger for the third haha.

Great job!

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention. The fruit/salt has a chance to spawn on each other, making a piece of salt useless :(. I only noticed this in the third level not the other two. Probably because they're so many more spawning.

Yes we noticed this bug but didn't fix it due to time either

Thank you
Yes, a good idea that can be applied in developing the game later. We were going to put a detailed tutorial at the beginning of the game, but we ran out of time, since you have reached the third level, we wonder if you ate yourself because of stress?
Hahaha

Wait for our game Elder's Will, which we will release in late 2021.

I did accidentally eat myself a lot xD

The music is sick, makes the game soo much more intense aha. Great job.

I loved the Fur Elise remix song! But as stated by others, a smaller map would make it a lot better!

Thanks, we will implement this idea in later development.

Simple and fun, and love the sounds! maybe if the map was a bit smaller could be a bit more difficult, but overall, nice game!

I loved the eating sound effects!

Would have been much more fun (in my opinion, anyway :P) if the game's map had been much smaller, or the snake had been faster. Took a bit too long to get anywhere, which hurt the game's momentum

Your opinion is much appreciated ❤.

I enjoyed your game. I tried to eat myself once (out of curiosity), accidently ate myself twice, and was a total coward! Haha. It was really tempting to eat all that fruit! Nice job with the theme.

Thanks for playing. 😍

That was fun to play, I liked the way you interpreted the theme. Maybe have the worm move a little faster, in the beginning, to get the player hooked right away!

That's so true my friend, thank you.

I really like the idea of a snake like game but with inverted objectives. good job.

i also made a game for this jam. i would be happy if you would play it and rate it :)

Of course, we would love to play your game.

This game was really nice. The main thing I could probably take out of this is to increase the pacing of the game/difficulty in some way. My worm was moving pretty slow and there was so much food spawning I kind of wanted to get it all XD. Overall though, nice game!

Thanks for your opinion.

Good game. The only bug i had is that if you move in one direction and you want to move in the opposite direction the worm makes a 180° turn and you die. But overall a nice game.👍

Submitted
Can You Die?

Actually this bug is intentional for making the game a bit harder 😂.

^^ Noice I almost had it (2 salt left and then I ate my own body... two times) I like the music ;-) and the art :D keep on the good work
