Honestly, it really depends on the drawing! But I would say about three. The first/bottom layer is for my flat colours, the second one is usually the line art (if i’m doing a drawing with line art), and the third/top layer is for rendering/drawing over line art and such.
I use additional layers if I want to add more stuff which I might delete. Example; for this drawing I have Kojo’s tattoos on a separate layer for each one rn ‘cause I might change it or scrap it!

I drew something related to SrPassaro's "Our Eldritch Life" AU.. Something with one of my MCS who I haven't done an intro for at all.. Welp, meet my daughter Blythe (aka Bliss) with her pet cat Phoebe! .. They certainly won't be here for Our Eldritch Life 2, for sure..
I don't really know much about this AU but meh.
Maeve’s is physical affection (giving and recieving) and gift giving (and receiving) if she’s close enough to someone she will definitetly just be touching them, even in small ways like touching their pinky or just being close to one another. they’ll also likes writing poetry for people she cares for so expect a bunch of poetry in how great and amazing you are. And quality time aswell she’ll be like “u chose to hang out with me?? MEE??”
haruki’s is giving words of affirmation to those ehe’s close to. He likes to receive gifts a LOT and best believe he will use them to their full extent. He also gives acts of serving, if he’s close enough to you’ll he’ll attempt to help you and not complain about breaking a sweat and clogging his pores ✨
Sylvan's love langguage is words of affirmation and quality time. I can just imagine her randomly expressing gratitude and appreciation to her friends and family whenever she's with them!
Oh and for Hiro is acts of service. No matter if it's something simple or not he will do it! Like, oh that bag is heavy? DON'T WORRY HE GOTCHU!!

Runie’s schedule really depends on the weather. If its the warmer seasons then he’ll sleep early, like hes OUT like a light.
If its winter then my boy will stay awake because of the chilly temperature. But he’ll try and work up a sweat so he can pass out
haruki MUST have his full hours or he will be the crankiest meanest person you'll ever meet. he must have his beauty seep and extensive nightcare routine before hand
Maeve cannot go to bed before a certain time or she just genuinely will be unable to fall asleep, she usually goes to bed likereally really late so she usually doesn't get her full hours, or she just oversleeps until 4 pm, it can go both ways
The design is a reference to the Sea Eater. And I created an entire creature just for this drawing... He is completely blind which makes him hunt by sounds and using his tail which in the end has a human shape to attract prey. It is so heavy that it can barely move and that is why it attracts prey instead of hunting, its arms are only used to catch the prey when it falls for the bait on its tail or to help it move.
And yes, the tail imitates human sounds to try to attract them more easily, but it is not a perfect imitation.
Its interior is fragile, so a missile could very well do the job and it wouldn't be that hard to miss with a mouth like that.
And he just tries to imitate the human sounds and voices he hears, whether it's from prey or survivors. But he's not stupid, if there's a group of people he might try to imitate the voice of one of them to get the attention of the rest.

Flora would want a new skateboard to maximise her cool points
Leaf would want some new coins for her collection
Cloudy i s definitely asking for the gift of magic (silly Cloudy)
Luciel would want nothing more than the happiness of Tammarck (as if His Presence isn't enough to make her happy)
(I finished a drawing, and I'm slightly upset because I don't feel like I did Tammy justice. Anyways, I'll post it tomorrow. It took two hours to make it, but it's not the best unfortunately. I'm not great at coloring/shading.)

Hello, I hope everyone is having a good day/night/morning, etc. I have returned with some lore and a couple updates about Xipil! First, I decided to make both her eyes yellow. Next, I've decided her last name would be Flores, which I thought was better than Fox (I was up till two am trying to figure a name and design). Finally, I have one full body drawing, which I will need to work on, and a couple more in the future. And yes, I gave her a tooth gap.
For lore, Xipil Flores has a hard time speaking to people. She is unable to tell how much someone is feeling (i.e. anger and how angry they are), and from past experiences, she doesn't talk to anyone besides her mom. She's very blunt about things, which often upsets people, with some even yelling or trying to hit her (that's why she's scared). Now, where does Tamarack fall into place? Tamarack's role besides being Xipil's friend is helping Xipil get over her fears. Essentially, being the rock for Xipil never had, since she was often told to toughen up (this in the future makes Xipil protective of Tamarack, since Tamarack is very important to her). Xipil shows her care through gifts–namely, her shiny rock collection. If someone is important to her, she will grab the most precious rock and give it to them.
So, I hope you enjoyed! I will be making some designs for futures steps in the meantime.
yay I love reading Yap sessions!! Cupid design and personality is really really REALLY well Thought out (I can relate staying up til 2 am thinking ab things) I like how Xipil is getting a chance to heal with Tammy 💕 (we love rock collections)

Thank you💕! I didn't want her to start off as social, so I thought for her, she'd spend the first few steps building up to that point where she does become comfortable with Tammy's help. And I'm thinking of Xipil, because of her fear, she hasn't had a crush on anyone. So when Tammy comes in, Xipil doesn't understand why she's so flustered around her until late Step 2 or early Step 3.

i actually wanted to draw fiore as sousuke but jude looks/is so much like him and his friendship with tammy is similar too so i had to abandon my beautiful daughter 😞💔💔

Hello! I'm Captain Luz, and I'm new here. After seeing everyone's ocs (pretty cool ocs by the way!), I thought I would try to make one for myself! I might need to change some of the colors though (kinda looks like Sunset Shimmer or something), but her name is Xipil Fox! I had a hard time coming up with names, so I used Xipil, which originates from Aztec. I hope you like her, but this is my first official oc I've ever made, so I don't feel super confident in her.
If she is good enough, I might end up drawing her (I still will regardless, and I need to work on her last name). Xipil is also pronounced She-peel, but there's some stuff online that can help pronounced the name.
So, here she is! I'm still working on her lore, last name, and color palette, but for now, since Xipil means "fire", she'll have that palette.
But for sure she does have a massive crush on Tamarack, so for her I'll be doing Tamarack's route.
I hope everyone here will have a nice afternoon today.. since I won't. I have to take an exam in LESS than 1 hour... And instead of preparing, this is what I do.. Welp, here's another question:

I got inspired by a character in a book I was reading and I thought he would be such a cute character. I just doodled him for now because I'm too lazy to make an official design for him. He's supposed to be a character that's doesn't show emotions at all but it can be pretty obvious to know what he's thinking. Also I don't have a last name for him currently so if anyone wants to suggest one then that will be very appreciated! (Oh and the picture below is step 1 btw)
Also here is how I envision his friendship with Sylvan would be like in step 2 (His design for step 2 is kinda a beta design, I'm not sure if I'm going to change it or not)

Haruki would scream and spray pepper spray at it and aim for the eyes, he might hold it the wrong way and spray himself. Or shrug and say he’s seen worse, and shows a pic of his ‘ugly disgusting rat baby’ of a dog Coco. There’s no in between, it’s one or the other
Maeve would probably would say anything to his face just awkwardly pat its head and head for the hills, or cuddle the cat and call it something like ‘Eyezore’ or ‘Teeth’ if the cat shows that it’s nice.
I don't know about you guys' timezones but I already asked a question for today and my head is about to explode since I have an exam tomorrow (yes, an exam on SUNDAY, and ik that it's probably Monday or Saturday for some people.. for the movie night question, kojo is either going to pick something like The Matrix, The Green Mile, Moonlight or Set It Up, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and A Balloon’s Landing. No in between really.
His favourite movies are: A Balloon’s Landing, Moonlight, Set It Up, Concrete Cowboy, All The Bright Places, The Half of It, White Chicks, and Get Out. His favourite series are: Monster, Castlevania and Castlevania: Nocturne, ATLA, S.W.A.T, Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, The Walking Death, HTGAWM, Neon Genesis Evangelion, The Brothers Sun, and more I’m not sure of yet.
Yu-Ming would probably put on something kind of romantic or bittersweet like To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Notebook, or A Whisker Away.
I haven’t really thought about her fave movies and series/shows yet, but Set It Up and The Half of It + the movies mentioned are deffo up there.
contrary to Runie’s sunny personality, i think he enjoys movies that make him cry LOL
Like dont get him wrong! He lovess romcoms and comedy, but most of his favorites are films that he ugly cried to, see: My Dear Heart (filipino series), Rewind, and The Miracle in Cell No 7.
If he were to pick a movie he would either pick Four Sisters and a Wedding (because family feels uagh), Seven Sundays (same family feels) or La, La, Land. Mostly because if hes crying to family feels or the one that got away trope, hes dragging EVERYONE down
MianMian doesn't watch much TV, but her favorites to pick are Bambi, The Hound and the Fox, The Princess and the Frog, Coraline, Mulan, NeZha, The Last Unicorn, Up, The Lion King, Matilda and ALL movies of Harry Potter, Also, ATLA and How to train your Dragon are a must!
If It's Movie night and she gets to choose, she would probably pick Harry Potter, she has a soft spot for a world with secret witches and wizards!!
Maeve is a Disney kid calling it now. Waiting for her Prince Charming~ anything Disney (not the knew things nu uh) so like Beauty and the beast, idk nothing humanly (humans, yucky)
Haruki would put on some sorta k-drama or really just anything dramatic or ATLA. Or a hallmark movie like Hot and Frosty and talk crap about it and basically hate watch it. Or Mean Girls because why not 🤷♀️
