Hello Visitors,
This is that place for you to post feedback and bugs.
I, along with the artists, would love to hear from you and your time in The Zium Exposition.
Please note, if posting a bug, please include the platform you are playing on (Windows/Mac)
You can also post bugs in the #bugs channel of The Zium Zerver on Discord.

Thank you for playing The Zium Exposition.
We've uploaded new builds in the last 24 hours, hopefully there's a fix in there. In earnest, we can explore alternate keypresses to open the menu, and will do so at the very least to attempt to debug the issue. Though, Perceptoscopes are entered by pressing Z. There should be no key press required at all once exiting and returning to the gallery, you should just return to where you were with free movement. There was a fix for this specifically in the 1.1 update, just to say. I can not personally replicate the issue, but am keeping an eye on it.
To enter a Perceptoscope, you approach it and press Z. To exit, you use the ESC menu and select "Return to Gallery" - though, as reported, if you can't access ESC Menu, you won't be able to leave the Perceptoscope. As mentioned, we'll explore alternate inputs to exit Perceptoscopes outside of a menu, though, ideally, we'd have you able to access the menu in the first place!
Hello! Yes, unfortunately, Linux is not currently a supported platform, even via Wine. We do have a native Linux build being tested on an experimental branch, but it is not at the standard where we can release a supported native Linux build. However, if you're interested in helping test our native Linux build, please be in touch via our discord; https://discord.gg/mz529mZ4Ry
Having been utterly fascinated with space in virtual worlds for a very long time, often playing what would be considered "standard" games just to hang out in various areas of the world, I am drawn more and more to these types of experiences.
While I like to physically visit museums, and curated places when I have the opportunity, I am very grateful to have this to go to, and with no prior knowledge ofThe Zium Society, I was blown away by what I experienced.
I ended up going around the museum and listening to the audio tour when given the chance, and also after seeing every piece, went back to the beginning with nothing but the ambience to surround me, which gave me different perspectives on the museum in general and on each piece I walked back by. All in all, it took me 5 hours, but I was dawdling quite a bit, while not regretting my choices and lackadasical movement.
I can't say that every piece and work of art I came across, spoke to me, or that my understanding is what was intended by the artists or curators, but I can still appreciate the work that went into it all, and also understand that even if I didn't connect with it, or if it wasn't specifically for me, if that makes sense, doesn't degrade it in any way. That is one of the beauties of art, I can postulate.
Without giving much away, and to keep this from turning into a dissertation, I will simply list the pieces that really touched me, and leave it at that:
Name | Artist | Year |
Hallway | Christopher Ferris | 2024 |
Untitled Garden | Colorfiction | 2024 |
Unknown Places | Ninn Salaun | 2024 |
NUMENT | Jmes Crossley, Louis Brooks | 2024 |
Mind the Gap | Louis Brooks | 2024 |
Dog Castle | Nomi, Horatiu Roman | 2024 |
Ruins of my Hometown | Lur Noise | 2024 |
One of the few criticisms I can levy is that the accessability options are limited at best, and as someone who seems to suffer more and more from motion sickness in terms of virtual items and spaces, an FOV slider, discrete HUD, and other options would be nice. I was answered very quickly by Michael on this after reaching out and was advised that a lot of it was either addressed in an update or would be considered for future releases and that is all I can ask for, and am greatly appreciative for even getting a response (Thank you Michael if you see this).
Great experience and wonderful to be able to do so. I fully intend to go through the previous iterations (Garden, Museum, Gallery), but want to state that I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to both explore, and expand on themselves and what can be considered a space and how they may or may not fit into it.
What a thoughtful and touching review. I will be sure to share it with the other artists.
Thank you for time and your words, and thank you for visiting The Zium Exposition.
We do have an update all but ready to go, but accessibility is very important, so we should always strive to be better there.
I hope you'll have just as special a time with the previous offerings. Thank you, SourHank.
Hey! I’ve been trying to run the experience on my Mac, but unfortunately, it seems to be incompatible with my OS (Sonoma 14.5).
Currently, I’m a PhD student working at the intersection of virtual exhibitions and games. I had the chance to tryThe Zium Gallery (the only experience I could run on my Mac), and I absolutely loved it. It was the first time a virtual exhibition truly captured my attention.
I noticed several clever design choices, such as the QR codes—genius! They allowed me to dive deeper into the contextual content while staying immersed in the experience. I was also impressed by how you managed to evolve the classic "white cube" exhibition model. Having a space that draws inspiration from physical environments gave users the opportunity to explore other areas and seamlessly return to the main space.
What I found particularly remarkable was how the spatial design, while rooted in elements of real-world exhibition spaces, was reimagined in a way that felt uniquely suited to the virtual medium. This approach created a cohesive and immersive experience, allowing freedom of exploration while maintaining a sense of structure.
Additionally, I loved the ability to get so close to the artworks "hanging" on the walls. It almost felt as if I were stepping into another space entirely.
Hello! I'll be sure to look into Mac versions on my end, however, if you haven't already, you can try opening the app again and then going directly to your Security and Privacy Settings, scrolling all the way down, and selecting "Open Anyway" where you should see "The Zium Exposition" - this may bypass your systems security issues with the app.
Also, thank you for your kind words about The Zium Gallery. Thanks for visiting!
