Loved the guitar tones on this one. The composition feels lacking in terms of dynamics for the drum & bass parts but overall a good job!

I really like how well the two guitar melodies complement each other, well done!

Amazing playing! Did you just lay out a track and jam it all out? What guitar plugins you using?

Thank you! Yes, I pretty much just improv'd over the chord progression. I did a few takes for the left and right then just chose my favorites. Took a second since I wanted it to be one long take (outside of the intro which I recorded separately). This was all running through Archetype Plini and Archetype Cory Wong as amp simulators!

Niiiice!! Do you have any other amp models??

How versatile do you find them? How good would the Plini model do rhythm metal guitars and how much customization room is there. I’ve been long-term thinking of upgrading but I’m cheap…

I used to use Amlpitube 4, but now I just stick to Archetype Plini, Cory Wong, and Gojira. I have the Darkglass VST too for bass ;)

I think Plini is pretty good for modern tones. It has custom IRs too so there's a decent amount of sounds you can get through that as well. The three amps included are all essentially just different gain stages, but you do get an external overdrive and compressor in front of them. You get bass, middle and treble for each amp + and extra graphic eq so you definitely have a lot of options in that regard.

Though IMO, it leaves a bit to be desired if you're into chunky, fuzzy lead tones (which I usually use Cory Wong for). Hope that helps :0

Very helpful and informative! Thank you!

This feels like it's about to fall apart but is tight the whole way through--perfect fit for the theme IMO!
