I loved this!
The characters were so fun to witness-- Rutile was a really endearing protag to follow, Alle kept me on my toes and guessing about what her situation was, and oh my gosh I love characters like the knight. The minigame for cooking was very cute, and the pacing and story was very enjoyable and engaging from beginning to end.
When I first saw Alle, I thought she was a guy and thought she was a really handsome man. And then I realized she's a lady and I was just oh my GOD that's a REALLY HANDSOME LADY-- I was so envious of Rutile lolol
I was surprised by the ending, and I only wish I got to see more of Alle's view of things, because I was surprised about the twist. When we first encountered Alle, I was initially intimidated by the "blood" splatter on her design but started to see her as a firm but kind figure in the story(and ngl, I started shipping the two hard too.) To see Alle's true nature about what happened to her family (or rather what she did to her family,) felt a little jarring to me, but I still liked the story and how it branched. Rutile taking on Alle's identity in one of the endings was absolutely fascinating to me!! even though I was post mourning what happened to Alle haha
The art was perfect, I liked the CGs in the endings, and pixel art style was really enjoyable to look at. This was a fun story and experience!
I like how the game played with my expectations! The red paint on Alle's apron especially made for good foreshadowing/misdirection.
I did find the final parts a bit goofy in how swiftly they seem to take a dark turn, especially one of the final zingers of dialogue. I think it's because Rutile is such an unassuming character. If someone accuses her of being something terrible, my gut reaction is to say "no, she's just a nervous maid." I did enjoy the final narrative payoff, however, and the build up was fun to keep up with!
The pixel art for the tileset and portraits are striking, but the seemingly resized character sprites did irk me as someone who regularly does pixel art. Upon seeing them, I had the strong urge to open aseprite and clean them up. However, those were the only real weak link in the presentation.
It was fun, morbid, and surprisingly cute story to play through!
Cool, short, "mystery" game. Kept me engaged for its length. Couldn't figure out the puzzle though :D Nice presentation. Congrats.
Loved the presentation to bits! Gorgeous color palette and very cozy aesthetic. You really do feel connected to the house by the end of it. Really do like it a lot. I wish there were more cute minigames similar to the cooking one (Which is still engaging and expertly presented) about tidying up the environment to really connect the player with the world around them and the feel what Rutile is going through.
Still though, gorgeous job! Could stare at the art for hours no matter how messy the home is!
