Cool idea ! Ended up mass murdering pedestrians though, it was more satisfying that way :p
Such a cute take on the gamejam theme! Loveee the cute pixel-art style too, super well done! :D
This was a pretty fun interpretation with great art, sound, and music; though i wish there were more pedestrian types (and thus behaviors) like people on bikes, skateboards, scooters, etc., or maybe even people of different sizes (larger sizes would slow you down)
The artwork implementation and controls felt good and smooth, I wonder if leaving more space for the car and/or having more safe spots would have helped with difficulty. Still it was fun, even just going on a killing spree
i feel like this is an urban planners nightmare made into a game, good job
unforgiving mode made me rage in my chair so yeah pretty fun :3
I love this so much, The car's movevement feels great my only complaint is that there is no variation in what you can do, this has a lot of potential and I think I spent an hour just trying to finish the unforgeving game mode, great job!
nice and creative idea, i think the game need more levels or ways to make it more compititve, but for this time it's a great work !
you can check and rate my game if you want :)
Brilliant idea, and it's the fun version of frustrating :)
Thank you for the option to switch between score-based and Unforgiving Mode. I still haven't beaten it on Unforgiving yet (sooo close!), so it was nice to be able to switch out to score-based mode just to feel like I could finish it at least once.
Nice music and graphic choices.
I'm curious whether it'd feel a tiny bit better if the car had just a bit more initial acceleration and faster turning speed.. or if I just need more practice. The final stretch is beyond crazy tight at my current skill level.
Thanks for the fun twist on a classic!
Fun Fact: I had actually implemented a pretty complicated system that allowed the pedestrians to stop if they are going to walk into your car, as well as stop if they get too close to the pedestrian in front of them, and pause spawning more pedestrians in that row if it's backed up. It all worked pretty well. Then I realized that it kinda trivialized the game, as you could just slowly creep forward and everybody will stop for you, so I ended up deleting that whole system.
I managed to get to the third sideway in unforgivable mode by luckyly drifting fast, the next part feels impossible to me.
Fun, straightforward game. I like the car acceleration mechanic paired with frogger's standard mechanics, and the game is very responsive to my inputs.
