Although I didn't participate in the jam, I also had a vague idea of doing something with chemistry, so I was glad to see someone else actually did it! It was a nice little puzzler, definitely has potential for more complex mechanics and levels. I do think that if you go with the chemistry theme you should take more advantage of it, though. Other than the fact that you're using the number of bonds, it wouldn't matter that much if it were any kind of things being bonded. Have a think about the effects certain combinations would have in real life, that might lead to more interesting mechanics and/or levels!
Good idea ! I easily see this type of puzzle game on mobile phone. It would have been better with few more levels but for a jam that’s already great 👏
The feedback s very much appreciated. I think an undo function might this game of puzzler a little bit. I'd guess the annoying part you found annoying was in the last level where you have to do quite a few steps before you get to the juicy part of the level, which really likes to destroy atoms and I totally agree that there's a problem/flaw in the level design! In a revisit of the game I'd also replace the destroy mechanic with respective ones that just block movement.
Quite fun once you invest enough time to figuring it out. The flat graphics and total lack of all audio knocked presentation for me a little though. I really liked the feeling of figuring out a mechanic, and one of the level victory text prompts shocked me quite a bit haha. Great game
Absolutely loved this game! It made molecular bonding seem simple and easy. There is certainly room for more puzzles with just the mechanics in play. Every level felt satisfying to complete. If anything, new obstacles could be introduced more slowly.
