This type of game is always fun. It has a good feel to the bar and bouncing. Lots of nice art assets but they were really small on my screen. Make them bigger and show them off. Good work.
Nice interpretation of the classic golf swing power/angle mechanic! In particular, I really enjoyed the little pixel art versions of all the hosts in their costumes! And I liked the behind-the-scenes notes on the main game page.
Ahah I've always liked these kind of launching games. Wish it was just a tad slower but bounced a lot more :D
Congrats, that's very fun to play!
Thanks! I would've kept tweaking the bounce physics, but something in my mind told me that was going to require some real thinking about physics (or at least going back and reallycribbing reverse engineering my source material) on top of probably switching to deltaT over per frame physics, but I didn't want to break something that was already working well enough.
There was definitely a point where I was considering changing the ballance around how long it would take to get enough views to push the view count outside the bounds of the menu box. It would've been a great gag, but would've had to push it so far you really wouldn't get that reasonable first week. Glad it kept you into it for that long tho!
Bonus:
Yeah, for some reason sounds in Game Maker give me fits, so rather than fight with whatever problems they threw in the mix, I just pushed them off and off until they didn't make it into the game at all...
But I wanna revisit golf swings based games in the future, so I'll be able to skip right to finding the good sounds!
