How does the game fit the theme?
You play a courier who only has to follow the prompts and nothing can go wrong. If you don't then you suffer the consequences.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I used Unreal Engine 5.4 with the first person template as a base. I added code everything else you see in the game. The assets were mainly from a Brutalist interior asset pack by Mate Varga. I used a combination of my own customized post processing volumes and Filmify by Nils Johannesson. I wanted to test out a concept and go through the process of creating and packaging and uploading a game. On top of tryingout an aesthetic I have been wanting to do for a long time.

How many people worked on the game?

Really good visual and audial polish! But I could not figure out what to do after labirynth

Heavy download but the visual are amazing! :)

The game is interesting and intriguing, keeps you in suspense, forces you to search and think. I miss some kind of guide, sometimes information arrows....

Game also could use some option to mute sounds or adjust the volume..

Cool game, but geez 2gb game for gamejam is wild. The game is a bit resource heavy as well. Putting that to the side, the game is great, and i really like the visuals (even if its a bit carried by effects).

Yeah, I am learning that using Unreal was pretty uncommon for a game jam. but to be fair, this is my first game jam and Unreal is all I really know, so I just went with that. But going forward this has helped me in many ways. Thank you for taking the time to play and leave feedback. I still have a lot to learn, but have been grateful for the experience.

There's some tiny constant camera shake going on when you stand still which seems kinda weird

I love how you can just walk out and leave lmao and the game ends

Game is visually stunning with immaculate presentation, unfortunately I stopped at the maze and didn't go further.

Overall it was a pretty enjoyable experience, bold move using Unreal 5

Very visually impressive!  I was stunned by the presentation at the beginning and the atmosphere was super thick.  I was eventually a little disappointed by the lack of a monster, or any threat besides falling off the slide into the void.  I felt that the amazing and  palpable atmosphere eventually faded away while I crawled around a McDonald's playplace for 45 minutes and instead I just got a little bored.

Don't get me wrong, for a solo effort in only 7 days this is incredible.

I'm giving it an A+ on my tier list.  But I think if there was some sort of real danger it could've easily been an S.

Wow thank you for playing my game and for the feedback. O admit I got lost in the sauce when it came to creating an enemy. I had planned on adding one, but felt with the time constraint that it wouldn't be any good. But I do plan on having a whole enemy AI element in the game though.

an A+ is an awesome grade for 7 days. Thank you so much! I need to make a lot of changes with this after the feedback I have received, and I am grateful for all the feedback to help me elevate this game further. Thank you again for playing and for your feedback. it is greatly appreciated.

Hi! Im sorry but i couldnt seem to get the game working? The archives seem to be corrupted for some reason :(

You went too far dude! A 2GB game for a jam is a first for me but it didn't disappoint a bit with stunning visuals and post processing effects. Nicely done!

Thank you. This was my first game jam and really wanted to do my best. I think the size was really due to Unreal being a big boy lol. I appreciate the feedback and thank you for playing my game.

It's a great addition to the jam. I can't believe it's made by one person only.

Thank you. This is my forst ever game jam and wanted to put my best foot forward and really pour all I could into this. Granted I lost a lot of sleep and my brain was much after I submitted, this was a great learning experience.

Really like the vibe, though it's a bit hard to tell how to progress. I like the post processing effects, very cool!

Yeah I messed myself up with removing some of the prompts telling you what to look for. But I will update it and make it more easier to at leas know where to go. I did a lot with the post processiing. A lot of tweaks, grain, tessellation, etc. Thank yu for your feedback and thank you for playing.

For some reason the game freezes whenever it boots up to the main menu, not sure why. Maybe its my intel GPU ? Anyway sorry I can't play it

All good. thank you for trying to.

Very good game, i very like the atmosphere !

Thank you. I was heavily inspired by Control and Brutalist architecture in general, I really wanted to show that in the atmosphere. Thank you for playing. Cheers!

Amazing! I can't believe you made this alone in 1 week. This feels like backrooms. The visuals are amazing, good job!

I can suggest adding more music. The parts that did have music were more atmospheric. Sometimes the music was 3D and not 2D, so it moved from left to right ear depending on my location, and I don't think that was intentional.

Keep it up!

THE PATH

Thank you for the feedback. I wanted to add more music, but felt I was being too picky at the sound I was going for and just ended up not adding anymore. But I do plan on developing this further and getting the whole aesthetic and atmosphere nailed down. I was trying out 2Dvs3D sound, and think 2D may be better, because of what you mentioned about it being in one side of the speakers. So i definitely will work on that. Thank you again for the feedback, and thank you for playing.

This is incredibly impressive, especially for 1 person to create this in a week, I am blown away! The visuals and atmosphere are very well done and I felt so immersed while playing it. Great work!

This was a really visually stunning project! The environments were cool, and overall the atmosphere was just very well executed. I will say that the movement in the game ran into a couple snags for me - I got caught on  a lot of the tunnels, and the head bobbing became a little bit overwhelming at times (I know that one's a personal preference, so an option to turn it on or off would be awesome). Beyond that, though, it was very cool to explore. Great work!

I will add an option to turn off the headbob, also with the tunnels, I was thinking about reducing them or reworking the collisions. I was trying to make a maze and think I went a bit overboard with the amount of tunnels. Thank you for the feedback and thank you for playing my game. It is greatly appreciated.

DANG! This game is beautifully made for one person. As a beginner game dev, I am shocked!

like the retro style, nice work!

Spooky game, I had to quit at the fun zone maze because the game was incredibly laggy with a ping of around 1 second.. It seems like a really cool game though

ONE PERSON made this?????? HOW???

My guy, are you INSANE?  There's no way you just made a fully fledged indie horror game for a 1-week jam. How is this even possible??

EASILY one of the most impressive entries I've seen. The scene is so spooky and unsettling, I was confident I would get jumpscared around any corner. Actually terrifying.

Crazy stuff! Read the other comments so I know you're planning to develop this further - good luck with it! I 100% believe you can make something amazing with this and actually release it.

Thank you so much. Honestly I wanted to put my best foot forward with my first ever game jam. I had a thought in my head and I decided to add all the things that I love and put it into a game see what I can get. I definitely will develop this further and really just try to pour as much quality as I can into it. I appreciate the glowing review. It makes the lack of sleep for a week worth it.

Oh that is relatable and helps understand how you were able to pull it off, haha!

And you're welcome! You absolutely killed it, for real. Good luck with future updates!!

I couldn't install the game, and I didn't find installation instruction :(
