I am an entomologist (arthropod morphology & phylogeny) and since 2014 the coordinator of ABOL, the Austrian Barcode of Life Initiative (https://www.abol.ac.at/en/).
In my early career I worked on Bombyliidae (thus my love with Diptera), later on with primarily wingless insects and myriapods. My special love is with neglected groups (like Protura, Diplura, Archaeognatha, Zygentoma Symphyla and Pauropoda), most of which cannot be identified to species level based on photos.
