DL-mount is a lens mount used by DJI in digital cameras used on aerial drones and gimbals, introduced in 2017. Initially, only available cameras used the APS-C Super35 sensors, but the lens mount also supports full-frame sensors. It is a fully digital bayonet mount with three tabs, a focal flange depth of 16.84mm and a throat diameter of 58mm. Communication pins are located on the mount, like the K-mount.

Since the mount was designed for aerial videography, cameras don’t have a mechanical shutter, it uses an electronic shutter or a leaf shutter if it’s available in the lens. Because of aerial usage, weight reduction is a major design requirement, most lenses use carbon fibre for housing.

DJI DL lenses

DJI DL lenses feature monocoque carbon fibre housing. DL-S lenses cover only the APS-C/Super35 frame.
