Highlights from the 2023–2024 Fiscal Year
The Intercollegiate Studies Institute closed the year with strong, mission-driven results. Total income reached$10,347,122 against$9,109,035 in expenses, reflecting a healthy surplus that equips ISI to invest in programming and long-term capacity. The vast majority of revenue came from generous supporters:contributions totaled $9,842,990, complemented by$504,132 in other income. These figures underscore broad donor confidence in ISI’s work and careful stewardship of every dollar.
A Stronger Balance Sheet
ISI’s financial position continues to strengthen. Net assets rose from$32.7 million to $35.5 million over the fiscal year, reinforcing the organization’s ability to sustain and scale its educational mission for years to come. This growth is the product of disciplined budgeting, diversified fundraising, and a clear focus on impact.
Mission-First Spending
ISI directs resources directly to students and programs.Program Services totaled $6,881,638, whileGeneral, Administration, and Development expenses were$2,227,397. This allocation means roughly three-quarters of spending delivered classroom-quality learning, leadership formation, and community for rising scholars across the country.
Strategic Growth to Meet Demand
Since launching the Roots of American Renewal Campaign in 2021, ISI has deliberately expanded to meet growing demand for its programs. Annual expenditures have increased44% over that period, reflecting targeted investments in high-impact initiatives, expanded campus reach, and enhanced support for students.
Accountability and Governance
ISI is a501(c)(3) charitable organization governed by an independent Board of Trustees. ISI relies onprivate financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations anddoes not accept government funding. That independence protects ISI’s mission and ensures resources remain focused on forming principled leaders who advance liberty and virtue.
