Every year, ILGA World publishes its State-SponsoredHomophobiafear, unreasonable anger, intolerance or/and hatred directed towards people attracted to others of the same gender.More report, a world survey ofsexual orientationrefers to a person’s capacity for profound emotional, affectional and sexual attraction to - and intimate and sexual relations with - individuals of a different gender or the same gender or more than one gender.More laws.
Since its first edition, back in 2006, ILGA World’s State-Sponsored Homophobia has been a fundamental resource for those interested in accessing the core information on legislation affecting people on the basis of their sexual orientation.
Not only human rights defenders, but also civil society organisations, governmental andUnited Nationsan international organisation comprising 193 member States. It has the mission of maintaining peace and security, protecting human rights, providing humanitarian aid and ensuring economic and social development across the globe. It is a network of many different bodies and agencies, each of which has a particular role and responsibility.More agencies, allies and media worldwide value the publication as one of the main sources of information on the issue.
The publication is accompanied by a series of maps and charts illustrating where criminalisation, protection and recognition laws exist.
