John Jerome Cunneen (5 May 1932 – 9 November 2010) was aNew Zealandprelate who served as the eighth Catholic Bishop ofChristchurch from 1995 until 2007.[1] He was succeeded as bishop byBarry Jones.[1]
Cunneen died on 9 November 2010 at the age of 78.[1] He waslaid in state at St Mary's pro-Cathedral inChristchurch but was buried inThe Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.[1][2]
