Deleting a server name

You can use the Administration Process to delete referencesto a server from theDomino® Directory,and from database ACLs and Extended ACLs. The Administration Processautomatically deletes mail-in database documents and cross-certificatedocuments as necessary during the Delete Server process.

About this task

To delete a server name, you must minimally have an Authorwith Delete documents role and the ServerModifier privilege, or Editoraccess to theDomino® Directory.

Procedure

  1. From theDomino® Administrator,click theConfiguration tab.
  2. ClickServer >AllServer Documents.
  3. Select the server name you are deleting and clickDeleteServer.
  4. For the check boxDelete servers from DominoDirectory immediately:
    • Select the check box to immediately remove the server namefrom theDomino® Directory,and post Administration Requests to remove the server name from ACLs,Names fields, and other locations.
    • Leave the check box unchecked, to create Administration Requeststo remove the server name from theDomino® Directory,ACLs, Names fields, and all other locations.
  5. ClickOK.
