I'm interested in seeing this revamped version improve! I wonder, is there a good place to find VRM models (SFW and NSFW) that could be imported? I don't know anything about VRM.
Personally, I would like to remove the character from the device. Either to let them recover or to let their body lay. It's disappointing to delete the device and lose the character too.
The new update is for sure a mixed bag to me, honestly. The new open map is nice enough, and the furniture is useful, but without the ability to freely place it in the sandbox mode, it does disappoint a bit.
The new animations are good! And the implementation is a lot more spotless than the previous build, though I will admit, squashing the bug that stops characters from playing struggling animations when their gallow is deleted is pretty disappointing. The squirming is 99% of the joy to me, so to not be able to control it and have it go away like it's nothing is disappointing. Especially now, with the addition of the character tensing up right before fainting, a "struggle level" slider would come in so incredibly handy.
The Garrote tool is great to see back, but I can't help but feel there's something missing when compared to the original. The upper body essentially freezing during use, especially when arms are tied, and inability to garrote with hands placed in front of the character like in the old builds, make the feature feel a bit lackluster. Altogether though, it's good to see back, and until the ziptie is back, will do as a decent enough substitute for a controlled struggle scenario.
The new minigame, while a bit confusing at first, is more interesting than I had assumed it would be, and is honestly really cool to see! Hoping to see the minigames from previous builds one day, but for now, this is a fun little time waster.
all in all, would recommend updating to 0.8.2, but if you're a fan of the "struggling while out of gallows" bug like me, keep a 0.8.1 build handy, or if the custom characters aren't a dealmaker for you, just use 0.7 and use the ziptie at 30-40 power, they don't pass out or die but stay squirmy the whole time.
The new update is out! For, 1000jpy Pixiv Fanbox users. For those of us (like me!) that have no flexible income at the moment, it'll be out 10 days from "February 26th, 2025 20:16" whether that's Japan time or my local time, I have no clue. But like, let it be known. about 9 days now. Roughly March 8th.
To anyone wanting to play around more with physics in the newer builds: I've found you can place your character(s), THEN the gallow, then activate the characters, then DELETE the gallow, and not only can you drag the characters around, but they will occasionally reanimate and active-ragdoll for a few moments before going limp again.
I've gotten this to work with the large gallow, and with as many characters as you can fit on them, all at once.
It's a neat bug and honestly makes me hope future builds will have a function to do this with a loose character, and this time be able to control animation strength and length, maybe even do it mid-walk and have the character almost stumble forward before falling down.

On update v0.8.1beta, whenever i try to start main project it gave me the error "JSON-RPC conversation cancelled".
Opening the DSS is fine though.
I've also tried complete reinstalled of the game but the problem still persist
Please let me know if how can i sending the error logs file to you in order to figure out what's wrong with my installation.
Writing a comment second time in hope the developer really reads it all. The 0.8.1 version is something different. Girls are still cute pookies (shame to hurt them:(, add an option to hug n pat em pls XD), the idea of giving em an ability to move is also awesome (need it in 0.7.1 small locations), BUT
OPTIMIZATION
It is REALLY SLOW. Very. Sometimes the game reminds of a slide show, and also... maybe Im stupid or didnt pay enough attention to the guidelines (the new interface is quite uncomfortable), but is that new castle location the only one? I saw some words about a park map and smth else in the description, but I didn't get how to launch both.
I love this project and have no desire to offend the author and their work, but, as far as can even discuss any game development, I'd like the game to be seriously optimized before any global updates.
Anyways, thank u for the all work uve don and are going to do, hope to see improvements soon.
From what I can understand the game has been fully rebuilt from the ground up. For what reason? I can't say. maybe the dev coded himself into a corner and couldn't continue since they are still a beginner from what I can tell.
Apparently he is planning to have update cycles of 1-2 months and the update will focus on as per his fanbox:
Arm and leg options
- Limited hanging simulation (escape mode)
- Indoor room map and park map
- Suffocation and strangulation simulation (custom mode, escape mode)
- Added animations and sounds
after which he will work on the "underwater" update.
At this point nothing else left than to wait and see.
It's of my understanding that the new builds are going to take a few months to develop, and that's understandable, but I would greatly appreciate it if we could at least get a few miniscule additions to tide us over, a new character or two, some new props like beds, tables or chairs to put inside of the house props that, as far as I can tell, are mostly pointless at the moment. I get that making great, ground-breaking changes to mechanics or additional mechanics that we haven't had previously would be too much to ask, but at least something to pad out playtime.
I'm impressed by your work. Your models are really cute, and I'm interested in where you'll take this.
With V08.1....
I noticed you can set the girl up in more than device, which is amusing to see.
Letting the girl walk around is a good addition.
The drone is a really nice addition, especially since it can move. I've noticed it can phase through other objects, while the girl can't, which is funny to see.
The addition of objects like buildings has potential. I might suggest making more assets for a DIY private dungeon or maybe a doll house.
I greatly favor the underwater play, and I would recommend further work on it. The multiple pools from V07.1 was an awesome addition. I suggest programing the girls to swim and navigate collision; the ability to add objects like buildings would be a fun tease.
Some costumes that I'd like to see include.... Maid. Kimono. Cheongsam. Cheerleader. Nurse. Prom. Victorian.
Adding a dating mechanic could work with the theme of curing the girls' depression.
No pressure, of course! Just take your time, work at your own pace, and I'm sure you'll finish with something you can be proud of.
The new beta is definitely in a rough shape, compared to the olders, but I can certainly see where you're going with the game. The characters' new ability to stand and walk is greatly appreciated, and adds a lot of life, though the ability to have the characters ragdoll independent of any devices, such as that in previous builds is sadly missing. It would be amazing to see the girls ragdoll, and perhaps be able to build a custom "writhe" movement independent of devices using the different inputs added when the girls have different stresses on them, I.E. The old stun gun, holding throat, writhing back and forth like on the old table, etc, fully free of requirement and free to interact with physics objects around them.
A standard 3d movement system is of great relief compared to the old floating camera controls, and adds some realism to the game. It makes me wish I could hold the girls alongside me and lead them, perhaps with a rope, maybe a new "lead" tool?
If I can make a complaint, the girls' self-preservation seems to be down the drain compared to old builds, and while they seem more lively, it seems to be at the cost of more advanced control when it comes to situational awareness. Custom character model import is great for characters, but having a cache for those already imported would greatly improve the user experience, having to re-open the same folders time and time again will likely get quite annoying.
Controlling the devices has been changed a bit, and while it's not a big deal overall, being able to change the speed of things such as the movement of the drone or the tightening and loosening of the rope would be a great improvement, along with the old builds' customization of grab strength. The grab in this build feels weak and slow, and unresponsive. You have to hold the mouse a whole character height above the character to get any real results.
Custom props in-world should be considered, as well as the addition of object manipulation, whether by physics or a standard 3d movement system, would be greatly appreciated, as placing and replacing the same prop 20 times can get frustrating when trying to find an angle.
Overall, greatly excited to see what the future brings for DSS! Hope to see restraints return, and hopefully absence of accessories in the current UI doesn't mean they're gone forever. Would love to be able to cover mouth and nose again to see what changes they can bring about with the new sim.
