After his death, hisportrait hung in theHeadmaster's office in order to give advice to the current Head.[4][2]
An inscription on his portrait read "Atatis XXXV",[5] indicating that he was aged thirty-five when the portrait was painted, asatatis is a Latin form of "aetatis", meaning "at the age of".[6]
The inscription on his frame read "Suprem Aeris regio Aquce Salsa Regio Vegetabis Pura".[7]
A portrait of him was hung in theGryffindor common room,[8] showing that he must have been theHead of Gryffindor House at some point in his life.[3]
