TheVapidNightmare Slamvan is a custom pickup truck featured inGrand Theft Auto Online as part of theArena War update.

The vehicle is essentially identical to itsApocalypse variant, but sports bright colors for the bodywork.
The vehicle is painted with a primary color for the body, while the secondary color is applied on the internal roll cage and tires. The rims can also support a dedicated color, although converted examples have a yellow color by default, which cannot be changed due to the lack of custom wheels options. The car also has permanent colors applied to random parts, which are the following;
- Blue: grille, side mirrors, window trims, engine intake, supercharger, cam cover fittings, engine block, exhaust outlets, second exhaust row set, engine protection frames, fuel tank, tail lamp cases, inner wheel hubs, front suspension details, driver-side pipes and rear driveshaft.
- Green: front bumper, cabin protection frames, cam cover lower details, third exhaust row set, engine crankcase and rear end frame.
- Pink: Cam covers, fourth exhaust row set, chassis frames and axles.
- Yellow: stepside borders, roof/rear protection frames and first exhaust row set.
- Purple: driver-side panel and cabin floor.
- Red: upper surfaces of side steps.
The vehicle can beequipped with two side-mounted machine guns in place of the fenders, which resemble eitherM1919 Browning or short-barreledBrowning M2HB machine guns.

Vehicle[]
The vehicle performs similarly to its base model, having average acceleration and top speed. However, the player may experience fishtailing upon initial acceleration due to the high amount of engine power delivered to the rear wheels, and some degree of understeer at high speeds. The unequal weight distribution, short wheelbase and wide rear axle means it can easily lose control if the vehicle hits an obstacle. Because of this, the Slamvan can be very difficult to use inArena War modes due to the narrow spaces and short roads of the arena maps.
The vehicle is powered by a big-block V8 engine similar to vehicles like theFränken Stange and theTornado Rat Rod, coupled to a 4-speed gearbox in a rear-mid engine, rear wheel drive layout. It uses the same loud engine sound from the Slamvan and theSlamvan Custom.
Abilities[]
- The vehicle can be installed with both "Jump" mods and "Shunt" mods. The Jump modifications come in three levels of effectiveness and can be activated using the horn button. When activated, the vehicle will be launched into the air, in a similar way to theRuiner 2000 andScramjet. The Shunt modifications allow the vehicle to shunt to the side.
- The vehicle can be installed with Boost upgrades. This can be used to significantly speed up the vehicle. It can be used repeatedly while driving the vehicle, but it is better to let it fully recharge for maximum efficiency.
Armor[]
The Slamvan, like other Arena vehicles, can withstand a single explosive without being destroyed, but the large windows leave the occupants highly vulnerable to gunfire on the front and sides, and the rear engine is also exposed to gunfire from the rear. This issue can be mitigated with the addition of armor upgrades, partially protecting the cabin with metal bars on the driver side and a plate on the passenger side, while the side windows are partially protected by metal bars. These upgrades also cover the engine and part of the rear windows, with the Heavy Armor upgrade providing the highest protection. The rear wheels can be partially protected with curved plates acting as mudguards. Bulletproof Tires are not available, but will carry over if applied to the stock Slamvan before converting to the Arena variant.
Weaponry[]
- The vehicle can be fitted with a Ram Weapon. The ram weapon behaves in a similar way to the updated scoops and ramming bars of theRCV andArmored Boxville, causing a large amount of damage to other vehicles and often sending them flying into mid-air with little to no disadvantage against the vehicle itself, and no damage to the vehicle's engine whatsoever. It should be noted that the effectiveness against other players is significantly reduced compared to its effectiveness against NPCs and their vehicles.
- Dual .50 Cal: The Slamvan can be modified to have two machine guns, which behave similarly to other front-mounted machine guns from various armed land vehicles. While having good damage against most targets, it struggles to defeat heavily-armored vehicles.
- The vehicle has the option for installing Proximity Mines. UnlikeWeaponized Vehicles added in theGunrunning update, the Slamvan, along with all Arena Cars in the Arena War update, has five different Proximity Mine choices: Kinetic, Spike, EMP, Slick and Sticky;
- TheKinetic option (orange flashing light) creates a small impulse spreading several meters around the area, sending players and vehicles into the air. The impulse deals little damage to both players and vehicles.
- TheSpike option (dark blue flashing light) bursts the tires of vehicles passing over or near it, as well as dealing a small amount of damage to the vehicle, mainly effecting the vehicle's windows, but otherwise dealing no damage or force. The mine does not burst vehicles with Bulletproof Tires installed.
- TheEMP option (light blue flashing light) disables the vehicle's electronics when passing over it. The accelerator, brakes and steering, as well as the radio and other features are disabled for around 5 seconds before reactivating. It also deals a small amount of damage to players. The player will be notified by whom their vehicle was disabled by in a small notification above the radar.
- TheSlick option (green flashing light) bursts a large amount of oil on the surface, causing vehicles passing over it to lose control. This deals no damage to both vehicles or players.
- TheSticky option (purple flashing light) bursts a large amount of sticky substance on the surface, causing vehicles passing over it to slow down. This deals no damage to both vehicles or players.
- The truck can also be installed with both bodywork Spikes and Saw Blades. The spikes deal damage to NPCs and players, contact with the spikes can instantly kill them, while the saw blades can pop vehicle tires and damage NPCs as well.
