Description[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The Buffalo STX was added as part ofThe Contract update on December 15, 2021, available from the first day of the update's release.
Grand Theft Auto VI[]
The Buffalo STX's presence inGrand Theft Auto VI was first seen in theSeptember 2022GTA VI leaks, in a single clip, where two instances of the car, in black, can be seen driving past theCipher Mall inRockridge,Vice City.[2]
The rear of the car is later faintly visible in thefirst trailer, ahead of theTulip driven byLucia andher accomplice, passing theshopping mall inWaning Sands (1:00). Apolice variant of the Buffalo STX, displaying aVice-Dale Police Department livery, also appears in the first trailer.
Influence[]
The Buffalo STX is primarily based on the2015–2023 Dodge Charger (LD). The majority of its design remains faithful to the Charger, with the front and rear bumper designs taking inspiration from the SRT models; likewise, the wheels are modeled after those found on the2020 SRT Hellcat Widebody variant. The "STX" designation most likely alludes to the "SXT" trim level of thesixth and seventh-generation Dodge Charger. The headlights, although shaped similarly to the Charger, have the clusters resembling thefirst-generation Audi Q3 (8U). The shape of the taillights and the surrounding black panel is heavily derived from the2013–2017 SRT/Dodge Viper (VX I). The hood might have been inspired by the2015–2020 Shelby GT350 (S550), while the side vents and side skirts bear a close resemblance to the ones found on thefifth-generation BMW M3 (F80) andfirst-generation BMW M4 (F82/F83).

- The "Sprunk Racing" livery is derived from theSprunk Buffalo, with the racing number "68" retained from said vehicle.

- The "Muscle Car Hood" option appears to be taken from the2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.
Design[]
The Buffalo STX is depicted as the newer iteration of theBuffalo and theBuffalo S, retaining the general body shape and features, albeit given a modern facelift. The front fascia of the car is its most identifiable area, featuring intakes on the left and right that evoke the similar design used on the Buffalo S, as well as two smaller intakes inset into the upper portion of the grille, positioned next to the rounded LED headlights. The rest of the car also mirrors features found on the Buffalo S, such as the side exit vents, the tail light design, and the black rear paneling on the trunk. The rear also features a small lip spoiler by default.
Its interior is a four-door derivative of the "Specter" interior type seen in vehicles such as theSpecter, theDominator GTX and theGauntlet Hellfire, with the Bravado emblem on the horn cap.
The primary color of the Buffalo STX is applied on the bodywork, while the secondary color is applied on the overstitches of the interior. A trim color is also available for the dashboard, part of the door panels and the inner portions of the seats. The car uses a set of 5-spoke dual rims, fitted with low-profile tires.
Performance[]
Vehicle[]
The overall performance of the Buffalo STX is on the top pace for the Muscle class, even rivalling some vehicles in the Sports class. It has a high top speed and excellent acceleration that on par with theGauntlet Hellfire, with braking power that is slightly better than the Hellfire. It also has stable handling like theDominator GTX, causing it to not lose traction upon hard cornering at high speeds and even spin out like other muscle cars.
The vehicle is powered by a single-cam V8 engine that is fitted with a supercharger, coupled to an 8-speed gearbox in a front engine, rear wheel drive layout. Its engine sound is mainly derived from the Buffalo S and theSprunk Buffalo, but adds a supercharger whine sound from vehicles such as theTampa and itsWeaponized variant.
Features[]
The Buffalo STX, along with selected vehicles from the same update, can be modified with a Remote Control Unit, which allows to drive the vehicle remotely, similar to theRC Bandito and theInvade and Persuade Tank. Note that the camera is always set to first-person view, and cannot be kept if the Missile Lock-on Jammer is installed.
Armor/Defense[]
With 100% Armor upgrade and a player inside, the Buffalo STX can withstand two homing missiles or Explosive rounds from theHeavy Sniper Mk II (blowing up on the next round), but it will be destroyed by a singleRPG. It also has bullet-resistant windows, which are able to withstand 15 rounds from most firearms before being shattered. Installing Louvers does not provide protection against firearms.
When the Armor Plating upgrade is equipped, the vehicle adds armor paddings on the sides in a similar manner to the armored vehicles featured in theExecutives and Other Criminals update. However, it gives a much higher resistance to explosives in general, resisting 3 RPGs, 11 homing missiles, or 9 Heavy Sniper MK II explosive rounds (The amount of explosives is halved if not occupied or remote controlled by a player).
The Buffalo STX, along with selected vehicles from the same update, can be modified with a Missile Lock-on Jammer, which prevents the lock-on system of theHoming Launcher and other weaponized vehicles to target onto it. Note that it cannot be kept if the Remote Control Unit is installed.
Weapons[]
- Machine Gun: The vehicle can beequipped with two front-facing machine guns operated by the driver, which perform the same as those of vehicles such as theBlazer Aqua and theRuiner 2000. They have decent firepower against players and vehicles with none or light armor, but will struggle against heavily-armored vehicles.
- The vehicle has the option to install Slick Proximity Mines (green flashing light), which bursts a large amount of oil on the surface, causing vehicles passing over it to lose control. This deals no damage to both vehicles or players.

Oversights[]
- When damaged enough, the front grille, engine belts, headlights, and holes for the optional machine guns float off of the vehicle and remain in that position rather than deforming with the rest of the front.
- If either of the louvers are installed, they will be removed once the player enters a different session.
- The rear plate light is offset to the passenger side instead of being centered with the actual license plate.
- During theGetaway Vehicle task forThe Gangbanger Robbery,Jamal Amir erroneously refers to the vehicle as the "Gauntlet Buffalo STX".[3]
