DLCs
Grand Theft Auto Online will continually expand and evolve over time with a constant stream of DLCs like this, creating the first ever persistent and dynamic GTA game world.Free Mode
Freemode is the live and open world of Los Santos and Blaine County. It's where you'll find everything from mission givers and businesses to social hubs and properties, and much more. Refer to the right-hand side of your Map in the Pause Menu to browse all available locations and set a Waypoint.
Starting Out
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, players using the Career Builder can choose to start out as a Nightclub owner, Gunrunner, Biker or Executive. On other platforms, players can choose to have their new character play a tutorial mission series to introduce them to the 2013 world of GTA Online and then play through as much of the added content in any order they please.
This is a place where you can do anything, and anything goes.
Welcome to beautiful Los Santos in the great state of San Andreas, where heaven really is a place on Earth. Los Santos: a sprawling sun-soaked metropolis...
Amidst the turmoil, three very different criminals plot their own chances of survival and success: Franklin, a former street gangster, now looking for real opportunities and serious money; Michael, a professional ex-con whose retirement is a lot less rosy than he hoped it would be; and Trevor, a violent maniac driven by the chance of a cheap high and the next big score.
Grand Theft Auto V features three playable protagonists, each with a unique special ability -

The Lost and Damned andThe Ballad of Gay Tony
Liberty City worships money and status — it's heaven for those who have them, and a living nightmare for those who don’t. Johnny, a veteran member of The Lost biker gang, is caught in the middle of a vicious turf war with rival gangs for control of the city. Luis, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (a.k.a. “Gay Tony”), is struggling with the competing loyalties of family and friends in a world in which everyone has a price.
Their lives cross paths with devastating consequences as they fight to survive in a city torn apart by violence and corruption.
Johnny Klebitz
Under his ravaged, drug-addled exterior, lies the heart of a reactionary prick who thought he'd fit right in.
Alderney; home to industrial wastelands, strip malls, dreary suburbia and The Lost Motorcycle Club. A motley band of thieves, murderers and drug-runners, The Lost have sworn to live by their own rules, above the law and in complete allegiance to the brotherhood. Billy Grey, the club’s president, has one set of priorities: bikes, booze, babes and blow; in any order and preferably all at the same time. His second-in-command, Johnny Klebitz, has been in control of the club while Billy serves out a court-ordered stint in rehab, and Johnny knows that time is running out for this gang of outlaws so he is determined to make cash as quickly as possible before they all ride off into the sunset. Johnny has been making good inroads into Liberty City’s organized crime world, even developing a working business relationship with the Angels of Death, long term rivals of The Lost. One problem. Billy’s coming home, and he’s crazier than ever…

Luis Lopez is a man who solves problems, and when you are the night life legend, Anthony “Gay Tony” Prince’s right-hand man and bodyguard, there are a lot of problems to solve. Algonquin’s nightlife scene is all about glitz and glamour, and owning the two hottest clubs in town makes Tony the undisputed party king of Liberty City. He appears to have it all – wealth, power, respect – but Tony begins to spiral more and more into a mid life crisis from hell. Join Luis as he fights to save Tony’s empire from the brink of collapse and to make his own mark in a world defined by decadence and excess, all while keeping his mother quiet and stopping his friends from calling him a sell out. The party is almost over. It is up to Luis to keep it going.

Having just made it back onto the streets of Liberty City after a long stretch inside, Tommy Vercetti is sent to Vice City by his old boss, Sonny Forelli. But all does not go smoothly upon his arrival in the glamorous, hedonistic metropolis of Vice City. Tommy is set up and loses everything. Sonny wants his money back, but the biker gangs, Cuban gangsters, and currupt politicians stand in his way.Most of Vice City seems to want Tommy dead.
His only answer is to fight back and take over the city himself.

A huge urban sprawl stretching from the beach to the swamps and the glitz to the ghetto, a town brimming with delights and degradation.
Today it's a city run by dealers and weasels. Expensive suits, flashy cars and beautiful women are the accessories of millionaires that spend their afternoons in the shade, determining the fate of Vice City's less fortunate and waging war on rival drug barons.
Always befriend a lawyer. In Vice City this is truer than ever, in fact this should be the first thing you do.
Vice City has a variety of hotels, some more welcoming than others. Top of our recommended list is the Ocean View Hotel which is comfortable but discreet. A good place to stay when you first arrive in town.
