Tsitsipas brothers knock out defending French Open champs

Stefanos and Petros Tsitsipas at the French Open.

Stefanos and Petros Tsitsipas produced an impressive display on Monday to earn a 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 win against last year’s French Open mixed doubles champions Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek.

This is the first time the Tsitsipas brothers have managed to advance to the third round of a Grand Slam. It keeps Stefanos’ hopes ofcompleting a singles and doubles triumphat the French Open alive.

The Tsitsipas brothers saved seven of the eight break points they faced to advance after two hours and 27 minutes.

The duo will next face France’s Manuel Guinard and Gregoire Jacq in the mixed doubles third round.
