The AMD Radeon™ Anti-Lag 2 SDK enables games to reduce end-to-end system latency in GPU-bound scenarios on AMD Radeon GPUs.

Download the latest version - v2.0.4

This release adds the following features:

  • Added support in the plugin for Unreal® Engine 5.7.
  • Removed support in the plugin for Unreal Engine 5.1.

Features

  • Reduce latency from input to presented image on GPU-bound games using Microsoft® DirectX® 11 and DirectX® 12.
    • Optionally also limit frame rate.

More details can be found in theSDK readme on GitHub and in ourIntegrating Anti-Lag 2 blog.

We haveNaming Guidelines available for use in game user interfaces, including translated strings.

Plugin for Unreal Engine

Instructions for using theAnti-Lag 2 Unreal® Engine plugin:

  • Extract the zip file.
  • Place the AntiLag2 folder within your Unreal Engine source tree at:Engine/Plugins/Marketplace
  • Open UnrealEditor.
  • Go to the Plugins window and enable AntiLag2.
  • Restart.
  • Anti-Lag 2 can be enabled and disabled in the Project Settings > Anti-Lag 2 or via the Console Variable ‘r.AMD.AntiLag2 ‘.

More information available as part of the plugin package.

FSR Frame Generation support

The Anti-Lag 2 Unreal Engine plugin integrates with theAMD FSR Unreal Engine plugin in order to function correctly with FSR Frame Generation enabled when using the native Direct3D® 12 backend.

Anti-Lag 2 is not compatible with the RHI backend within the FSR 3.1.1 Unreal Engine plugin.

This talk discusses how subsurface scattering is implemented in Unreal Engine’s forward renderer. Because UE4 implements subsurface scattering as a screen space effect, it wasn’t available on the forward path by default, so a new technique had to be implemented, and one that had to still work with the UE4 material system and editor.
