If you want to compile firmware or utilities, we recommend theGetting Started with EDK II page. This provides an overview of downloadingEDK II from github and building a sample platform (OVMF,EmulatorPkg,MdePkg, ...). There are multiplehardware platforms using EDK II open source UEFI firmware, includingMinnowBoard Max/Turbot,Aaeon UpSquared, andIntel® Galileo Gen 2. This allows you to experiment and develop UEFI features on real hardware.
