I've merged this article in with some tweaks (including tweaks that Wouter mentioned) at sha:4b8a70b. I agree with Wouter that this is much shorter than our normal cookbook articles and I also considered moving it into the reference section. But, in general, we're pushing now towards having more, shorter entries. So, I've kept this in the cookbook, and linked to it from the reference section. Having it as its own article should also make it more findable from the web.
