Is there a reason tutorial 7 doesn't support all languages?#295

Tutorial 7 (Publisher Confirms) is lacking examples in Python, Ruby, Javascript, etc. Is there a reason for this (like limitations of client libraries) or are you guys looking for contributions?

I will convert this issue to a GitHub discussion. Currently GitHub willautomatically close and lock the issue even though your question will be transferred and responded to elsewhere. This is to let you know that we do not intend to ignore this but this is how the current GitHub conversion mechanism makes it seem for the users :(

There are two reasons:

  • No one has contributed those ports yet
  • Not every approach tousing publisher confirms works equally well for every client/programming language, so it can be a fairly non-trivial task (more or less a different tutorial under the same number/name)

Ideally we would cover streaming or at least batch confirms. Ruby and Python clients very likely would only really accommodate the batch option.
