As ofsphinxcontrib-apidoc@0.6.0, it mentions that this package will be archived after a while because thesphinx-apidoc plugin now exists as part of Sphinx itself. Currently, our version of sphinx is v6 (current is v8 as of 2 Nov 2025) and it is 2 major versions behind since the previous maintainer just turned off dependabot for Sphinx updates but now that is corrected with#712 reopened.
