Proposal:

Of course, these functions can be emulated in pure-Python.

On another hand, people can reasonably expect these classifiers as "Themath module consists mostly of thin wrappers around the platform C math library functions." (c)isnormal() was in libm since C99 andissubnormal() - since C23.

Has this already been discussed elsewhere?

This is a minor feature, which does not need previous discussion elsewhere
