Proposal:

Currently there are a couple of issues withpdb's completion:

1. It does not know about built-in functions like repl. Sopri\t won't complete toprint.
2. Disabling of completion in multi-line mode is a bit too strong - the user should be able to complete on expressions when they need. Also it does not work with libedit.
3. If you are typing a statement/expression, rather than using a command likep, pdb will lose the ability to complete expressions.

We haverlcompleter and we should utilize that to makepdb's completion better - the code is already there and it has fixed a couple of corner issues.

Has this already been discussed elsewhere?
