Hi! Wanted to clarify iftool.setuptools.ext-modules ispyproject.toml is still considered experimental and should stick tosetup.py if plan to useext_modules?

There's currently a warning added about a year ago inbf768e0_ExperimentalConfiguration:[tool.setuptools.ext-modules] in pyproject.toml is still *experimental* and likely to change in future releases.

Is there's some issue to track progress on this - to know when it would be safer to switch? (couldn't find one)
