@janstarzy, sorry. That's a lot of work has been done, but this is a big PR that conflicts with the alternative approaches. I think, this PR can still be referenced in some image I/O enhancement proposals, but as-is it cannot be merged any longer. |
Merge of pull requests#14907,#14797 and#14650
To avoid conflicts I had to merge the branches and continue development afterwards. This merges the image-input- and output-branches.
