It feels like there ought to be a user setting for having the Primary Side Bar default to closed when you open a VS Code window.

In Cursor it's off by default. It's a bit disorienting at first, but it can be quite nice once you get used to it. Not suggesting VS Code do the same—that would be disruptive—but surely it ought to be an option at least?
