If a user supplied function is given it is probably needed to restart the animation. The default just inserts the first frame and restarts the animation which is not useful.Fixes#5399

Sorry about punting the issue, I wasn't exactly sure howinit_func was supposed to behave, but I'm guessing it's just a user-defined function to get your animation prepared for drawing judging by the example modified in#4800. In which case, this change makes perfect sense.
