@tonysyu - I know you have some artistic flair. Any ideas? It'd be pretty cool to have a streamplot in there... |
Dammit Phil. Stop asking me to do things! I'm really bad at saying "no" ;) Seriously, though: Thanks for your vote of confidence. That said, there's no way I'm touching the mathtext demo or the financial demo; they need quite a bit of cleanup. Most of the aesthetic cleanups are pretty subtle, but I did fix some links and reword a bit of the text. For some of the plots, I did some cleanup related to MEP 12, but I wanted to avoid the hassles of moving (and re-linking) the demo files, for now. BTW, I wanted to add a bit more spacing to the |
I feel really bad now - I actually linked to the wrong place (I meanthttp://matplotlib.org/_static/logo_sidebar_horiz.png) - what a clanger! Your change looks good though. I'm going to get it checked out and built - then I think we're pretty close to getting it merged... Awesome work as ever@tonysyu. |
Well now the issue title makes a lot more sense! Ha! I think I indirectly chose the plots in the sidebar---except for that polar plot. They were originally part of a logo submission I made5 years ago! I'm not sure I'll have time to fix this up before the release, but I'll look into it soon. BTW, if the PR is too big of a change right before release, it's not a big deal. Cheers! |
Self-assigning. Hopefully I'll get to this today. |
The image athttp://matplotlib.org/users/screenshots.html clips text and suffers from a snapping issue. I suspect both of these are fixed in master.
It'd be good to update that image (perhaps just re-run the code - or alternatively add a couple more plots...) before the v1.3.x release...
