A service to make a wacom tablet's draw area follow the mouse.

Installation (Linux)

  • Clone this repository:git clone https://www.github.com/ep12/wacom_follow_focus
  • Link the service script and make it executable:
ln -s wacom_follow_focus/service.py"~/.local/bin/wacom_ff"chmod a+x wacom_follow_focus/service.py
  • start the service: e. g.wacom_ff --device 'Wacom Intuos BT S Pen stylus' &
  • Configure your window manager to sendSIGALRM if your mouse moves to another screenandSIGPOLL if a new monitor was configured.
  • Have fun

Logs

Logs can be found here:~/.local/share/wacom_ff/service.log

Usage

usage: wacom_ff [-h] [--every N] [--log-level LOG_LEVEL] --device DEVICE [--always-poll]optional arguments:  -h, --help            show this help message and exit  --every N             Automatically update ever N seconds  --log-level LOG_LEVEL                        Set log level (high values mean quiet operation)  --device DEVICE       Which wacom device to handle  --always-poll         Wether to always reload the monitor configuration (slower)
