We propose adding Uzbek (uz) locale support to Django REST Framework to make it more accessible to developers and end-users in Uzbekistan and other Uzbek-speaking regions. With Django already supporting Uzbek as a core locale, extending this support to DRF would enhance inclusivity and usability.

Our team, along with Uzbek programmers, has already completed the translation for the Uzbek locale and is ready to contribute it. We are also prepared to organize community efforts to maintain it in the future. This addition aligns with DRF’s commitment to supporting diverse developer communities.
