When checking the "Add New" and typing a name in the timer groups - then clicking save - the page reloads, and it didn't create a group, or assign the group to the timer.

1. Create a Timer.
2. Save
3. Check the checkbox next to "New Group"
4. Type "Test" in the Group Name
5. Save the Timer.

No group was assigned.
