XCode 26 comes with Icon Composer, a new way to create layered app icons for iOS macOS:https://developer.apple.com/documentation/Xcode/creating-your-app-icon-using-icon-composer

It outputs a.icon files (which is actually a folder/package, like.app). I tried a bunch of things, but it seems like it's currently not possible to use such a file in a .NET iOS or macOS app - the file seemingly isn't processed by the toolchain and no icons end up in theAssets.car
