I deleted these arguments because they didn't fit well with my plan for spark functions, but some of my old artwork depends on them. Now that there's a release version I want to get better at avoiding non-breaking changes, but it would be nice to think of ways to reintroduce the functionality within the existing "spark" framework. I'd like my old code to work again! :-)
