A notable omission in this PR compared with the RFC is a lack of thetask_status type and thestatus column in thetasks table. This is due to some limitations with generated columns.

The generation expression can only use immutable functions and cannot use subqueries or reference anything other than the current row in any way.

Computing astatus would require querying data from another table, which is forbidden. A solution to addstatus will be in the future. This could be in the form of a view or being defined only at the point ofGetTasks orGetTaskByID.
