I'm currently aNIHR Maudsley BRC &DRIVE-Health PhD Student at King's College London working on theapplication of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) in precision medicine, I am an Engineer and Scientist starting to explore the wonders of the human brain 🧠
I lived most my life between Italy 🇮🇹 and Germany 🇩🇪 where I was born in 1995. In addition to this, I have spent some time living in the UK 🇬🇧
My academic background is quite technical.I got my High School diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication from the I.T.I.S "G. Segato" in Belluno (Italy).Following this I got my Bachelor degree in Electronics and Telecommunications engineering from the University of Trento (Italy) and a Master's Degree in Bioengineering from the University of Padova (Italy).
My works experiences in biomedical/datascience field include:
- Internship withMedicalTech srl during my Bachelor's degree thesis. During the 6 months of hte interniship I worked on the developement of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for the holster ECG developed by the company. The EHR was developed using theHL7 CDA v2 standard.
- Clinical Imaging Associate atGlaxoSmithKline (GSK) R&D. Parsing, sorting, cataloguing and archiving of large amount of legacy imaging data. The project was done by following the internal, national and international regulations on data archiving and by developing custom scripts inPython andBash.
Outside of the academic world I like to volunteer in some local organisations of my home town, in particular
- 🚑 I have been a volunteer EMT and ambulance since I became 18, and since a couple of years I also obtained my instructor accreditation.
- 🩸 I am a volunteer in a local organisation which promotes blood donation since I became 18.
