"The Java Champions community was started by Sun at the 2005JavaOne conference to recognize key influencers in the Javacommunity. Java Champions are influential Rock Star presentersand Java technology educators, authors, and consultants; Javaplatform event organizers; and others within the Java technologyecosystem. For the third consecutive year, Java Champions havecontributed to the JavaOne conference process as technicalreviewers for paper submissions, have been recognized for theirachievements, and have shared their thoughts about the state ofthe Java platform at their BOF sessions."
