Short answer: This project is being maintained, but not actively.

Long answer: I'm the original author and primary maintainer of the project. I'm also a full-time student and working part-time jobs to get through school and feed my family. As such, I simply can't dedicate time towards this and still put food on the table for my family.

That said, I do still plan to get the stable 3.0.0 version released, but can't commit to any specific timeline.
