Hello everyone,

First of all, I apologize for the forum being offline for so long. Unfortunately, the forum has been under a DDoS attack since August, which is why the forum returned error 403 to visitors as a protective measure. I had actually planned to implement a DDoS protection, but I have now decided otherwise. I haven't really been active in this project in recent years, and unfortunately, that's not likely to change. Since I have monthly costs for maintaining the server and the websites and no longer want to pay them, I have now decided to migrate everything to GitHub. And actually, that's not a bad thing, because GitHub offers everything we previously hosted ourselves.

The forum will now be replaced byGitHub Discussions and you can always access the old forum through theWayback machine.
The wiki page will be replaced byGitHub Pages.
The download page will be replaced byGitHub Repository Releases.

With the next release (v743) coming in a few days, the “sp update” command will now connect to the GitHub releases (thank you@srpg) and automatic data updates will be disabled. I recommend that everyone install the update as soon as possible, as I plan to take the server and websites offline at the end of October. Anyone is welcome to implement a similar functionality for automatic data updates for the new infrastructure on GitHub ;-)

Source.Python was a great project for me, where I learned a lot and had a lot of fun, but my life and interests have changed. Therefore, this is my personal announcement that I am no longer an active member of the Source.Python Dev Team. To be honest, I haven't really been active in recent years. But with this announcement, I would like to take the pressure off myself. This may sound like the end of the project, but it is not. It is up to you what you make of it, and if anyone can imagine becoming the new maintainer of the project, please let us know!

PS: I will not be completely disappearing from the world. I may continue to provide small updates from time to time.

Take care!

Now, it is. Not sure, but maybe the wayback machine failed to archive the site correctly due to the sid in the URL.
