GEGL (Generic Graphics Library) is a data flow based image processingframework, providing floating point processing and non-destructive imageprocessing capabilities toGNU Image Manipulation Program and otherprojects (imgflo,GNOME Photos,iconographer, …)

With GEGL you chain together processingoperations to represent the desired imageprocessing pipeline. GEGL provides operations forimage loading andstoring,color adjustments,GIMPs artistic filters and moreforms ofimage processing GEGL can be usedon thecommand-line with the same syntaxthat can be used for creating processing flows interactivelywith text fromGIMP using gegl-graph.

The primary repository for the GEGL source code is in theGNOME git repository. Releasetarballs may be downloaded from theGIMP download site and aa summary of changes is available in thereleasenotes.
