Joffrey is from theStormlands. He is a companion and lover of SerLaenor Velaryon.[2]
House of the Dragon: Season 1[]
Joffrey is on the Velaryon war council during thesiege of Bloodstone. He announces the return ofCaraxes andDaemon Targaryen. He later pulls Daemon away when the prince almost beats a messenger to death.[3]
In116 AC,[b] while he is sparring withLaenor, Joffrey witness KingViserys I Targaryen arriving atHigh Tide to formalize a marriage pact withHouse Velaryon. In the dunes near the beach of driftmark, Laenor relays the agreement reached between him andRhaenyra, Joffrey chides Laenor for being worried, as pleased with the agreement. At the wedding of Laenor and Rhaenyra, he gossips with Laenor and shares that he has deduced that Rhaenyra has a secret lover of her own: SerCriston Cole of theKingsguard. Joffrey later proposes to Criston, to keep each other affairs secret, unaware of the breakdown of Criston and Rhaenyra's relationship. Criston Cole starts a fight with Joffrey and beats him to death. Laenor tries to intervene but his pushed away by Criston, after Criston is comes to his senses and departs, Laenor cries at the sight of his dead body.[1]

InFire & Blood, Joffrey Lonmouth is a knight of House Lonmouth, and the favorite companion of Laenor Velaryon, of whom he was rumored to be a lover. He is known as the Knight of Kisses on account of the heraldry of his house: Quartered of six: red lips strewn on a yellow field, yellow skulls strewn on a black field.
Joffrey competed in a tournament during the wedding celebrations of Laenor and Rhaenyra. He rode as Laenor's champion, whileHarwin Strong rode as Rhaenyra's. Ser Criston Cole, furious that Rhaenyra bestowed her garter on Ser Harwin instead of him, took it out on the other competitors, especially Joffrey: he mercilessly used his morningstar on Joffrey, cracking his helm and leaving him senseless. According to Mushroom, Laenor did not leave Joffrey's bedside, and wept bitterly when he died six days afterwards.
