Following product categories allows you to see all posts for the products you follow in theQuick Links list and site header; receiveemail notifications; and refines yoursearch results.Read on to learn more.
Select a product Category:
Quick Links
After 'Following' a product Category, you can use the Quick Links menu to quickly access them later, as well as see recent posts in those categories.
Follow to get Email Notifications
This feature also allows you to receiveemail notifications on all new posts and comments for the selected product category:
- Choose a productcategory
- Click thebell icon
- ClickFollow Category
- Select the check boxes for types of notifications
To review all available notification settings:
- Click on the bellicon in the header
- Click on the slider icon at the top of the drop down
- A complete list of all notifications options will appear for you to manage
Refine Search Results
The other benefit to following product categories is the ability torefine search results to only posts from your followed categories:
- In theSearch Results page, click on theDiscussions button
- In theFilter Results panel, choose "Search Followed Categories Only"
