you gave an an idea, after "post-install Patch" I execute revert back install, and then again execute post-install pacth. That brought back wallpaper and grapnic acceleration. Everything is back to normal.
Thanks it worked.
Hello, I have the same problem, sometime I have to execute post-instal patch on my Imac 2012.

Hello, on an 2011 iMac, after a Sequoia update, A friend lost the keyboard and the mouse. Do you have any idea how to fix it without reinstalling Sequoia?
Apple or third-party bluetooth keyboard and mouse? Apple or third-party USB keyboard and mouse? Are they using something like Logitech Unify Receiver which is 2.4GHz wireless? Details matter.

My system is finished. I have my two VMs set up as well. One for Sonoma, and one for Ventura. After turning on reduce motion in both, things run very smooth.
Which of your systems - MacBookPro11,1 or iMac17,1 - did you use? Did you install the latest macOS 15.7.2 Sequoia with OCLP 2.4.1 and VMware Fusion 24H2 (24995814)? Can you enable 3D support in VMware Fusion with your setup?

The latest VMware Fusion 24H2 doesn't start any Windows-VMs (only black screen) on my MBP10,1 with macOS 15.7.2 and OCLP 2.4.1 - only VMware Fusion 13.6.4 is able to boot Windows-VMs and there is no working 3D support at all...

Any positive reports on this? There are some rumors that OpenGL support was removed in VMware Fusion 25H2 and Metal support is not possible with patched drivers...

I quit using OCLP, I'm running Monterey as the host on the iMac 17,1. The MBP really isn't worth using anymore. The VMs are in Fusion 13.5.2. I need a 100% supported system instead of the OCLP guess work, and since all my daily tasks work in Monterey. Fusion with the right settings is good enough for the few things I'd risk installing OCLP for. I decided to go that route to make sure everything works when I need it. I've been back and forth over a couple years between OCLP, and Monterey on this iMac, and I've decided to stay here. As an alternative, I have Linux installed on an external drive. FWWIW: I also have programs that I still use that are happier on Monterey or older due to lack of updates, and changes Apple has made in macOS (not OCLP related.). Ventura would be usable (as the host), if it was a supported OS, so Monterey it is, or Linux until I get a new computer. The two VMs will help some as well.

Mouse X on Imac usb and apple keyboard on iMac usb, just before the update (I thing 15.7.2) everything was correct with Sequoia 15.7.x . I am sur to save this instal of Sequoia if I execute the post install but without keyboard I don't found a solution. It is a good exercice .... Perhaps if I use an USB hub ...

Since I'm strictly using OCLP for recording, and nothing else.

The investment, and alongside OCLP, continues to deliver.

Well, since a majority of stuff I do uses the GPU in some form, that's the one area OCLP can't be guaranteed (on this particular mac.) because of the nature of the process of patching. Since I have a better idea of what I need now, it's much easier to stick with the supported install for the baseline stuff, and either run the other stuff in a VM, which is also supported, and doesn't require the GPU, or use Linux instead, if what I want to do is genuinely served better in Linux over macOS.

Plus, because the iMac is my only usable computer right now, there is the issue of EULA and support. Apple might not offer security patches for Monterey anymore. However, it's still an officially supported version of macOS for this mac, so I feel better about reaching out to the developers of any software I may need help withe vs relying on a community of non professionals. If I wanted community support, I'd use Linux completely. With a Mac, I expect better.

So, Everything is as it should be now. Here is why I decided to go back to Monterey, even though Sequoia was running OK.
Mainly for better legacy support. I have a 2.5G USB Ethernet adapter that doesn't work correctly under Sequoia as Apple removed the drives from questions I had asked about a while back here. So, instead of playing a cat and mouse game, It's easier just to pick what works and stay there until forced to get a new Mac. The other thing is, the desktop Facebook Messenger app is being discontinued in December, so I'll no longer need a newer version of macOS to run it without glitching.

I have a confession to make, I'm the type of person who loads apps on the computer thinking I'll use them at some point, and usually never do. So eliminating a lot of those apps, everything that matters, is still supported by Monterey, and slightly older.
I have my Mac Pro 5,1 setup as a dual-boot... Sequoia or Monterey...using OCLP of course.

Monterey was the last "really good" version of MacOS for that platform...meaning everything "worked as it should", with OCLP.

Sequoia with the latest OCLP works too, for the most part, but there are some "gaps". That' why I still keep Monterey around on a second hard drive.

3D Support won’t work I believe , I asked the black screen question and makj answered, As a temporary workaround you may go to the VM Advanced settings and set troubleshooting to hang/crash will boot then . I also have a boot camp partition of windows 11 which is probably the only way for 3d support using windiskwriter of GitHub to make the install.
