Snigdha OS is built on a customized Linux kernel for lightweight performance and security. It uses the Xfce desktop environment, with APT for package management and system libraries like GLIBC, OpenSSL, and systemd. The default shell is Bash, with support for Zsh. Pre-installed development tools include GCC, Python, Node.js, Java, and Git. It supports X.org and Wayland for graphics, with ext4 and Btrfs file systems. Security is enhanced by SELinux, AppArmor, and regular updates. Docker, QEMU, NetworkManager, and OpenVPN complete the stack for performance, flexibility, and security.
