Skills/Languages
Mostly I do technical enablement. This is a compact way of saying "if you need someone to figure out how to do something and then teach others how to do it, I'm your guy."
Currently learning
Trying to find time to actually learn Python so that I don't just reflexively do things in obfuscated shell. The same thing that makes it easy to understand what a block of code in an unfamiliar language does also makes it hard to pick up a new language because, "well, this is how I'd do it in 'X' and figuring out the 'Y' analogue will take more time than deadlines feel like they'll allow"
Currently hacking on
Most recently, my work time's been focussed on automating deployment and integration of CI/CD tools ...which seems kind of meta.
At any rate, this "meta" pursuit is to make it so that I can point DevOps-interested customers to a set of tools that will quickly result in them having a self-maintaining CI/CD toolset that they can use and break to their hearts' content.
Available for
I'm up for just about anything that allows me to pick up new skills.
