Valm

Valm (Japanese:ヴァルムWarm) is an empire which has existed at two different points in history. At both times, it covered the entirety of the continent ofValentia, later itself renamed Valm after the empire.

The original incarnation of the Valm Empire was founded at the conclusion of theZofiaRigel war of607–608 Archanean/401–402 Valentian, with the unification of the two nations by the marriage of their surviving royals:Alm of Rigel andCelica of Zofia, the two heroes of the war. The unified nation was named theOne Kingdom of Valentia, later renamed, along with the continent itself, by the empire's second king. In the intervening centuries, the empire fragmented into numerous smaller nations, includingChon'sin andRosanne.

In the era ofChrom, the second incarnation of the Valm Empire was formed byWalhart, who reunified the continent into one nation through brutal conquest. Walhart was motivated to resurrect the united empire by the threat ofPlegia, theGrimleal and the potential return ofGrima, and from there sought to invade theYlisse continent to prevent the fulfillment ofValidar's ambitions. However Walhart fell under the manipulation ofExcellus, who was secretly a member of the Grimleal.[1]
